Captain's
Comment

Fall is upon us and the Summer of 2005 is a thing of the past. However, don't put those Clubs away just yet. We still have some nice Fall Days left to get out there and play a round of golf because some of the best golf weather the season has to offer is here.
The Golf Season ended on a high note with Woodland Greens Golf Club taking home the Top Prize in the Mulligan InterClub Tournament held at Montaup C.C. a few weeks ago. I want to personally congratulate the team of Chad Spencer, Rick Kelley, George Patton, Rob Aldrich and Mike Bonnetti for a job well done in capturing the FIRST PLACE Prize. Woodland Greens was one of 24 teams competing for this prestigious Award. This Silver Platter encased in a glass frame is hanging in the Clubhouse and will stay there for one year. Congratulations to the team for winning an honorable award and representing Woodland Greens in fine fashion.
Hope everyone enjoyed the 2005 Golfing Season. My grounds crew worked hard throughout the season keeping the Golf Course in the best condition possible for you, the Members. I hope you enjoyed our newest additions, the monthly Newsletter and Woodland's website. We got a lot of positive feedback from both the website and the newsletters. If you haven't checked out the website, do so at www.woodlandgc.com and be sure to take a virtual tour of the golf course! Unfortunately, this is our last newsletter of the season. The next Newsletter will be published in March 2006.
Many thanks to the Tournament Committee who volunteered their time throughout the Season. It is a time-consuming job and the Committee has done a great job! It has been a great Golfing Season that just flew by. Most of the time the weather was great which made playing conditions good for everyone! We are planning a Holiday Party for sometime in December. You will be e-mailed with the date and time.
For now, I will sign off till next Season. Thank you again for all your support and involvement. I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your Winter. Whether you stay here in RI or settle somewhere warmer ~ Stay Heathly and Safe and I will see you in the Spring....

Glow Ball
Despite the rain that started just as we teed off, the Glow Ball was a success. The die hard golfers of Woodland Greens finished play somewhat wet! It was nice to see the many players out hitting Glow Balls, wearing glowing necklaces and even some participants wearing "lit up" goggles, all having a great time! The course was neatly arranged with all Tees and Flags illuminated! The evening started off with some homemade Beef Stew served in a bread bowl and then nine holes of Golf. Following Golf, everyone went back inside for some warming concoctions served with selected "Fall" Desserts prepared by Ron & Courtney. Awards were presented to our Winners. Thanks to those who participated. It will be a night to remember!
-First Place: Ken Cote, Joe Cote & Don Marchetti (score of 33)
-Second Place: Tim Diskin, George Patton, Mike Bonnetti, and Ed Cheverie (score of 34)
