Captain's Comment

Summer has arrived!! I am hoping for a great month of July; with the help of "mother nature" providing us with some great golfing weather...We had an exciting number of events in the month of June starting with The Challenge Cup where youngsters from New England tested their talents on the links! ...Great bunch of kids!

Our Two Day Member Guest was a lot of fun. We had a successful Tournament with winners walking away with some very nice prizes.
Qualifying for the Club Championship took place last month...Matches are now underway and the results will be in the next Newsletter!
July hopes to be a great month. A number of events are planned....The Member 3 Guest, and the Two Day Member Member. Please check your schedules and be a part of the Woodland Community and participate.. Support your Club!

Also, a little help would be appreciated trying to keep the course in good shape. PLEASE, fix your ball marks, replace your divots, rake the traps, and FOLLOW the Pull cart and Push cart signs! Please keep all Pull and Push carts off of the Tees and Aprons. If you are riding in a Gas Cart, please follow all Cart signs. PLEASE help us out in following these simple procedures.....

Thanks and enjoy the Season!

Have a safe 4th of July & Happy Golfing!

Dave

Golf Tip of the Month: Rhythm and Balance

All great players have the ability to swing every club at a consistent tempo and with great balance. Rhythm and balance are linked. Someplayers, like Tom Watson, exhibit faster tempos. Some, like Ernie Els, exhibit a slower tempo. Yet all remain balanced. The key to consistency is to maintain your balance and use a smooth rhythm.
