Captain's Comment

The course is coming along; slowly but surely. I have to commend my workcrew for a great job in cleaning up the course and preparing it for the 2009 Golf Season. They have worked hard and diligently in getting the course in shape for your golfing pleasure. It has not been easy, but it is coming along! ... "Mother Nature" really provided us with some excellent weather this past week. Let's hope this pattern continues!!

Just a reminder: In order to keep the course looking its very best for you, the members, I can't emphasize enough the importance of doing your part in helping me and my crew maintain it and keep it in good shape. Please take the time to follow what are "Simple Rules" of the Course. These rules are only enforced to keep the course in good shape. Please Follow Cart Signs, Replace Divots, Fix Ball Marks, and Rake Traps. This will help add to the beauty of the course and make your golfing experience much more enjoyable.

Tees and Fairways have been aerated. Greens to follow with slicing and seeding to follow that..... Information will be Posted! So for now, enjoy the Golf and hope to see you on the Course.

Golf Tip of the Month

Weight it out! What you need to know about weight shift...
The words “weight shift” can cause a lot of confusion. For starters, a weight shift isn’t something that you should forcibly do; rather, during the swing, your body weight should shift naturally as you make a proper turn. Any manipulation of weight from side to side is a mistake.

Some great Golf Quotes sent to me by my friend Bob! Thought I would pass them along for you to Enjoy!

You can talk to a fade but a hook won't listen.
~ Lee Trevino

The only sure rule in golf is - he who has the fastest cart never has to play the bad lie.
~ Mickey Mantle

Sex and golf are the two things you can enjoy even if you're not good at them.
~ Kevin Costner

I don't fear death, but I sure don't like those three-footers for par.
~ Chi Chi Rodriguez

After all these years, it's still embarrassing for me to play on the American golf tour. Like the time I asked my caddie for a sand wedge and he came back ten minutes later with a ham on rye.

~ Chi Chi Rodriguez

Give me golf clubs, fresh air and a beautiful partner, and you can keep the clubs and the fresh air.
~ Jack Benny

There is no similarity between golf and putting; they are two different games, one played in the air, and the other on the ground.
~ Ben Hogan

The uglier a man's legs are, the better he plays golf. It's almost a law.
~ H G Wells

While playing golf today I hit two good balls---- I stepped on a rake.
~ Henry Youngman

If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

~ Jack Lemmon

You can make a lot of money in this game. Just ask my ex-wives. Both of them are so rich that neither of their husbands work.
~ Lee Trevino

I'm not saying my golf game went bad, but if I grew tomatoes, they'd come up sliced.
~ Lee Trevino
