Comment
Summer has arrived!! I am hoping for a great month of July; with the help of "mother nature" providing us with some great golfing weather...We had an exciting number of events in the month of June starting with The Challenge Cup where youngsters from all parts of New England were here to test their talents.
Our Two Day Member Guest was a lot of fun. We had a successful Tournament weathering some stifling hot & humid weather....with winners walking away with some very nice prizes.
The first Mixed Scotch of the season was a lot of fun. Weatherwise, we caught a real beauty of a day! It was a spectacular day filled with sunshine, a little humid, but a great day! This tournament is always a lot of fun and this is the one tournament where friends and guests can not only enjoy the game of golf but the company of good friends.
The FWAK (Friends of Wally, Al, & Kevin) was a big success with many of the gang's "old golfing buddies" along with some family and friends all coming together to remember and honor them. The tournament raised $4000.00 with all proceeds going to Home & Hospice Care of RI..........I want to thank each and everyone who participated and helped make it a great success. A Special thanks to Bob Bursley and Ken McKay for all their time and effort.
July hopes to be a great month. A number of events are planned....The Member 3 Guest, and the Two Day Member Member. Please check your schedules and be a part of the Woodland Community and participate.. Support your Club!

Thank you all for your support, participation, monetary donations and wonderful Raffle Prizes. Your support is greatly appreciated. Golf Tip of the Month: Etiquette
The prescribed rules, forms and practices established for behavior in polite society or in official or professional manner.
Golf Etiquette: Please repair ball marks, replace divots and rake traps! FOLLOW all cart signs and keep the pace of play with the group in front of you. RESPECT fellow golfers on the course and they will respect you.
These are a few of the things we can do to make everyone's round more enjoyable. I have had numerous comments made to me about slow play, carts going where they should not go, and divot repairs. Myself and my crew put a lot of time and effort in the upkeep of the golf course. Please help me with these practices which in return will help you.
