Looks like Mother Nature is on our side now after the 7 straight days of rain in May. The course is coming along nicely. Aerating of the greens has been completed and day by day the course is getting back in shape. There are many events coming up this month, and my main goal is to get the course in "tip top" shape for your golfing pleasure. The Member-Member Tournament was a great success with many new faces as Winners this year! Congratulations to all of them! Guest Day on Memorial Day weekend was a lot of fun with a full field of golfers participating. What better way to start the Holiday Weekend off than with a day of golf with friends followed by a succulent dinner of shrimp cocktail, steamers, chowder and clam cakes; Ron outdoing himself again! It surely was a day of fun and relaxation. I want to thank each and every one of you for your support in these events. We have some exciting upcoming Tournaments scheduled for this month. The Two Day-Member Guest with the Winner receiving a 2007 Golf Membership; and the Mixed Scotch which is always a lot of fun with many laughs. Do sign up for these Tournaments.....Support your Club! *OSWGA (Ladies) - Fall River Country Club Congratulations to the Team of Dave & Debbie Creta, Steve Marshall and Cathy Dionne representing Woodland Greens in the OSWGA Mixed Pairings Tournament at Fall River C.C. last month. They came in Second Net in the Championship Division. Also Congratulations to Dave & Rosemary Richardson for coming in Second Net in the A Division.

For some of you who do not know, I am the Executive Director of First Swing Rhode Island, a non-profit organization which helps physically-challenged individuals either learn or re-learn the game of golf. On June 17, we are having our annual Learn to Golf Clinic at Buttonhole. If you know of someone who could benefit from our program, or would like to volunteer your time for a few hours please let me know.
