Hope everyone enjoyed the month of July with the many family "get togethers", functions, and outings that the SUMMER brings out and still find the time to play some golf. What a great time of year! I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as I am. Thankfully the weather has been cooperating. It looks like those hot, humid, sticky days are upon us...We have had our share of days, but who's counting...I am just glad the rain is gone for now!!
Already we are into the month of August....Now where did the time go? We had a busy month of July hosting a number of events... Our Member Three Guest was a lot of fun...The Members and their outside Guests seemed to enjoy themselves.
Our Club Championship Qualifying rounds were played over a number of weekends finally coming down to the wire. This year again, as last year, there was not only a Championship Division, but a First Division, a 50-59 year old Division and a 60 & over age group Division...A new Club Championship Winner was crowned!
The postponed Mixed Scotch from June kicked off in July and it was a great success.
Our Two Day Member Member was a great success..The weather cooperated and Winners received 2007 Golf Memberships!
I am offering a couple of $PECIAL$ to our Members for the months of August, September and October. Be sure to check them out in the $PECIAL$ section of the Newsletter.
We have a number of UPCOMING EVENTS... Be sure to check them out as well.... The GLOW BALL Tournament (Aug. 5th), the Qualifying for Mulligan - Interclub Tournament , our final Member Guest on (Sept. 10th), as well as our last Member Member on (Sept. 24th)...

Golf Tip of the Month: Preventing the "FAT" Shot
Hitting the ball “fat” or “behind the ball” can be caused by one of two things or a combination of both.
1. Starting the downswing with your arms instead of with a lateral weight shift.
2. “Casting” or un-cocking the wrists too early on the downswing.
Cure: Make sure to start the downswing with a lateral slide of the hips and ensure that most of your weight is over onto the front foot before impact (the right heel should be off the ground by impact ).
